Specially Designed Instruction: What, Where, When, and How?

Specially Designed Instruction (SDI) is adapting content, methods, and/or instructional delivery to address the unique needs of a student (511 IAC 7-32-88). Students who are eligible for special education services must receive SDI to be in compliance with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) and Indiana Article 7. After attending this session, participants will understand how educators work collaboratively to plan, design, and implement specially designed instruction for students with whom they share responsibility.
